Live at Musart in SOHO
Insert Sub Header Here
Musart in SOHO was a gathering place (club) for musicians and the public. The Musart period was (1966 - 1972). It was one of the few places where progressive jazz took place. This CD represents some of the top instrumentalists of the period. As you listen to them, you will hear where the music went and who was there to continue the authentic spiral of "bop."
"Boptronics" is a word coined by George Braith as a result of his work in overdubbing ("Sound on Sound"). The "Braithophone", developed and played by George Braith is another part of the new face of Jazz. It is a solo instrument developed to enhance single line improvisation by woodwind players.
